Wow--when I opened my eyes and looked at the clock, it was 0924! I had a good sleep this morning!
Frank came over about 1 and we started on his food prep. After we got the potatoes cooked and shredded, he wanted to go over to Danielle's mom's house (where we were having a surprise dinner for Danielle's birthday) and finish up. Since it was his project, we went.
We had a lot of fun, coaching him on how to put these foods together. (a crockpot potato recipe and a salmon loaf recipe, both were D's favorites of her mom's) He did a good job, and when Danielle showed up, she was surprised to see us there, and more surprised that Frank had prepared most of it.
We laughed and had an enjoyable evening.
Back at home, the back door has finally stopped dripping. The ceiling spot is seriously soaked and spreading, though not dripping yet. A lot of the other wetness along the seams is drying. The inside door is still difficult to open and close, but getting better; I couldn't close it by pulling on it, only by pushing from the inside. And the stream of water from along the foundation has slowed to occasional icicles. It will be interesting to see what it does as the rest of the snow melts from the roof this coming week.
Tomorrow we get to pick up the snow blower.
So--there will be no more snowfalls greater than 2 inches for the remainder of the season.
Stay warm...
Thank you for reading. Hugs.
