Another great day!
Sunshine, mid-80's, humid.
Jeremy Jenny and Matilda arrived about 11. Jeremy finished inflating the "tubes" to pull behind the boat, while I helped Jenny get some medication into Matilda. M had a fever, runny nose, glassy eyes, looked like she felt miserable.
The other group arrived shortly after--a set of parents, 3 teenagers, 2 pre-teens. We had a great time on the lake. Some water skiied, some tubed. Not much wind--those on the shore said the squeals and laughter floated in from across the way.... I sure have fun pulling them.
The clouds started moving in, getting darker, as predicted. I took the adults plus Matilda (who was feeling better) on a ride around the lake. We covered the boat when we got back.
Everyone pitched in, gathering possessions, putting things away, the larger family left, and as Jeremy finished the outdoors, Jenny and I showered Matilda. She had so much sand in her hair that it ran down her back!
Clean, second dose of medicine, snack, and they were on their way.
Sure was fun.
Supper, the storm hit to the south, knocking out power south of Hale to Whittemore. We had some straight-down rain for maybe 45 minutes, most of it a light rain.
Temperature dropped to low 70's (ahhh). I showered and had a quiet rest of the night.
Tomorrow--???
Thank you for reading. Hugs.
