Busy day today...
When I woke, the lake was quiet and mirrored, only the tree line and it's reflection breaking the gray of the sky and the lake. I was excited, thinking maybe the lake froze during the night. But I saw that the temperature was in the high 30's, and saw that even the skim ice that had been at the shoreline yesterday was gone. I was disappointed, but NOTHING'S better that being at The Lake. Well, maybe having someone to share it with....
After breakfast I went out to help Bob and Evelyn put a new tarp on their "hoop" shelter. They had been out there getting it ready, and with the three of us, we got it pulled up and over.
I went in to warm up and get my things organized to load the car. I took some items out to the garage, then went over to the other neighbor, Mary, to show her pictures. We had a nice visit.
Back home, I finished loading the car, finally leaving about 2:45. The sky was trying to break up and had gotten brighter.
I had a nice ride home, and was surprised when the fuel indicator "bing-binged". I looked down and saw the light on--and realized that the very next exit was in sight, and had a Meijer gas station! What luck for me! It was also the lowest price I'd seen in a couple weeks--$3.31. 15 gallons later, I was on my way.
I stopped at the hospital to check on Jim, who was having a kidney stone removed. I walked in just as the O.R. crew were doing their final interview to whisk him away. Polly and I had a nice visit as we waited for him to be returned. And when we were taken back to where he was, he was recovering nicely and felt amazingly better. Thank you God for modern medicine.
Polly went to get the car, while I rolled him to the lobby, and we each went on home.
Unloaded, and most stuff put away, I showered and got ready for the workday tomorrow.
I heard it's busy...
Thank you for reading. Hugs.
